Arsenal will likely have just two players out of action when Mikel Arteta’s side face off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
Cedric Soares has been out with a nasty facial injury which he picked up after being hit by a ball in training. His face has swelled up and he has yet to take part in a friendly, making him a major doubt for next week.
Calum Chambers is the other player who will be missing. The defender is still undergoing rehabilitation on an anterior cruciate injury he sustained during the game against Chelsea back in December.
Lucas Torreira was expected to miss the rest of the season with an ankle issue but, with the campaign having been paused, the Uruguayan has had enough time to recover and will be available for selection.
Hector Bellerin had been struggling with a thigh problem that had hampered his performances before the season was suspended, but the Spaniard is now said to be fully fit. Kieran Tierney should also be ready to feature after recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
