Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin withdrew from the starting eleven for the Gunners’ 3-1 win against West Ham last night due to a tight hamstring.
The decision was taken not to risk the Spaniard, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles taking his place in the line up versus the Hammers. The 24-year-old is unlikely to face Standard Liege on Thursday night.
Kieran Tierney had to be substituted in the first half due to an injured shoulder. The Scottish international clashed with Michail Antonio leaving the fullback needing treatment.
After the game, interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg confirmed that the defender had travelled to hospital in order to assess the seriousness of the problem.
Granit Xhaka had to be taken off with concussion near the end of the game. The Swiss international was hit by the ball with ten minutes remaining last night, but after trying to continue, he was replaced by Matteo Guendouzi.
Dani Ceballos (hamstring) and Rob Holding (knee) were ruled out before the game yesterday and remain on the treatment table.
