Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is expected to return to training in the next few days after receiving good news about the extent of an ankle injury.
The Brazilian sustained the issue in the warm-up before the 2-0 win over Newcastle United in the FA Cup at the weekend, and there were concerns that he could be out for a while. However, a scan earlier this week showed there was no major damage done.
Thomas Partey was not in the matchday squad for the victory over the Magpies, but manager Mikel Arteta explained after the game that the Ghanaian was simply not match fit despite having returned to full training. He is likely to be involved in some capacity against Crystal Palace.
The only other fitness doubt was Gabriel, with the Brazilian defender having spent time out self-isolating with the virus. The Gunners have confirmed that the centre-back is now back with the first team and is available for selection.
