Inter Milan are plotting a move for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette, according to L’Equipe. The French newspaper claims that the Serie A side are keen on the 29-year-old replacing Lautaro Martinez if the Argentine moves to Barcelona this summer.
Lacazette has two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates and the Frenchman has been linked with a move away from the club this summer. However, it is believed he is currently not interested in a switch to Italy.
If that were to change, though, and Inter do make their move for the Gunners star following Martinez’s sale, Arsenal are already planning an offer for his possible replacement.
Moussa Dembele has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United this summer but L’Equipe claim that the Lyon striker is now also being monitored by the Gunners.
However, with a price tag reported to be £60m, they would need the proceeds from Lacazette’s sale in order to finance the move. It means a number of transfers will need to happen before the former Celtic forward could arrive in London.
