‘Knocked On The Door’ Report Confirms Arsenal, United And Spurs Have Enquired About 43M Rated Sassuolo Ace

Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have all made enquiries for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian publication claims that all three clubs have either directly or indirectly “knocked on the door” to ask about the Italian international’s availability.

It is believed that Berardi’s current asking price stands at €50m (£43m), and Sassuolo feel they are in a good position to bargain considering his contract still has three years left to run.

After impressing against Turkey in Italy’s opening group match of the European Championships, Berardi’s stock could rise further as the tournament progresses.

The winger has, though, been doing the business at club level for quite some time. As well as scoring 17 goals in 30 Serie A appearances last season, the Italian has hit the back of the net 105 times for Sassuolo in 291 games, averaging a goal every 2.7 matches.

Whether Arsenal actually need a right-winger, though, is up for debate, considering manager Mikel Arteta has both Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe at his disposal.
