Kallstrom Fancies Arsenal Return

The Swedish international, Kim Kallstrom was Arsene Wenger’s only signing of the January transfer window in the previous season. However, his six-month loan spell was disrupted by a back injury which caused him to miss most of his short tenure.

The 33-year-old would like to rejoin the Gunners and he has revealed that he has spoken to Wenger about the possibility of a return, according to the Mirror. He said, “We had a long talk about everything. They were really happy with my work.”

On being asked whether he would be open to a return, he replied, “Yes. We we will see what happens. I had a fantastic time at Arsenal and like their style,”

Kallstrom’s return would be considered a gamble since he hardly played for Arsenal last season. He is also 33 years of age, meaning he has not many years left in the tank.

Do you think Wenger should re-sign Kallstrom on another short-term basis? Despite all the negative press about Kallstrom, we think he still played a useful part in Arsenal’s season run-in and he did score a vital goal in the FA Cup shoot-out win over Wigan and on the field he did not put a foot wrong so maybe Wenget might bring him back again even if not for the whole season.
