Kaboul Unlikely To Sign For London Rivals

Kaboul Unlikely To Sign For London RivalsAccording to Metro, Arsenal may have already lost out on a defensive target for the summer, as Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul has categorically turned down talks about a move to their North London neighbours.

The North London rivalry is one of the most fierce in the world, and both clubs have been eying success over each other since the inception of the Barclays Premier League in 1992. However, it has been Arsenal who have been dominant ever since, with Arsene Wenger witnessing many managers come and go at White Hart Lane. The closest Arsenal came to beating Spurs in recent times was under Harry Redknapp, but the manager was fired from the job soon after due to his hostile relationship with chairman Daniel Levy.

Kaboul joined Spurs first in 2007, but could not settle into life at the club, and moved to Portsmouth the next year. After an impressive spell with the club, he was re-signed by Redknapp, who praised the player as one to develop later in his career. Since 2010, Kaboul has been struggling with injuries, but has now returned into the first team fold. A move to Arsenal would not be appreciated by the fans, and Kaboul will be well aware of the rivalry at stake between both sets of supporters.
