Juventus ‘Very Close’ To Agreeing Five Year Deal With Arsenal Starlet Who Arteta Described As “Incredible”

Juventus are hoping to secure Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun on a five-year contract, according to Don Balon. The Spanish rumour mongers claim that the two sides are “very close” to an agreement ahead of a summer transfer.

The striker is free to talk to foreign clubs with his contract running down and Don Balon claim that, while Manchester United and RB Leipzig are also involved, Juve are the favourites to secure his signature.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has expressed some hope that Balogun would remain at the Emirates beyond the end of the season, and he has praised the teenager for his development in recent months:

“His progression and the use of the time that he’s had with us has been incredible. He will keep having chances while he’s with us.”

However, there has been growing concerns that Balogun will look to leave Arsenal in search of first-team football. Arteta did give him his first-team debut back in October but the 19-year-old has only made five appearances for the senior side this season.

Don Balon are not the most reliable of sources so it is wise to treat this story with some scepticism. As of yet, Balogun has not said that he intends to leave the Gunners.
