Tottenham “have held talks” about signing Middlesbrough fullback Djed Spence, according to the Evening Standard‘s Jack Rosser.
Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also interested in the 21-year-old but it appears that Spurs have made the first move to secure his services before the summer transfer window:
Djed Spence will move this summer with Arsenal, Tottenham and Bayern Munich all in the race.
Boost for all involved as the fee could be as low as £12m, though given the interest a bidding war could see that go up. #THFC #AFC https://t.co/Iq4MoBYeiJ

It is believed that Boro are only looking for a fee between £12m and £15m for Spence, but the interest in the defender could lead to the price shooting up in the coming weeks.
The Gunners don’t exactly need another right-back, with Cedric showing in recent games that he is a very able deputy for Takehiro Tomiyasu.
However, Spence’s potential and availability means it would be difficult to pass up an opportunity to bring him to the Emirates. If Arsnal snap him up for around £12m, it would be an excellent deal for a talented young player but we shall see who wins the race for his signature.
