Journalist Confirms Arsenal Have Tabled Bid Worth 34M Plus Bonuses For 23 Year Old

Arsenal have made a proposal worth €40m (£34m) plus bonuses for Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca, according to Alfredo Pedulla.

The Italian journalist claims that the Gunners made an approach in the last few weeks but the offer for the 23-year-old was rejected:

Pedulla reports that Scamacca is keen on staying in Italy anyway and, with Serie A champions AC Milan and Napoli having made enquiries for the striker, it is believed that he will give priority to those teams if they follow up their interest with a bid.

It must be said that this report about Arsenal’s offer has not been substantiated by journalists in the UK but Scamacca is known to be on the Gunners’ shortlist of transfer targets.

Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus is thought to be the London club’s top priority, while the likes of Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, Roma’s Tammy Abraham and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are also being considered as options.
