Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – the Spaniard was excellent against Wolves, making one really important save from Joao Gomes in the first half. He will be looking to replicate that performance against the Blues.
RB – Ben White – the fullback didn’t use the ball too well when he got into the final third at Molineux but he continues to be reliable defensively. Will need to keep an eye on Mykhailo Mudryk if the Ukrainian starts on Tuesday evening.
CB – William Saliba – one errant pass aside, the Frenchman performed well and kept Wolves’ forward line pretty quiet. Nicolas Jackson is a handful, though, so he will be tested more against Chelsea.
CB – Gabriel – the Brazilian’s display at Molineux was an improvement on recent showings. Will need to be switched on when he faces both Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer.
LB – Jakub Kiwior – the Pole hasn’t looked particularly impressive in recent games, and his mistake led to Gomes’s shot that Raya tipped onto the post. His defensive nous will be needed versus the tricky Madueke.
