Joel Campbell unworried about Arsenal future despite exit rumours

Joel Campbell says he remains un-phased about his Arsenal future, despite claims he will leave the club this summer.

Campbell joined the Gunners in 2011, and instantly became a cult hero after some impressive cameos for Arsene Wenger’s side.

However after falling out of favour with the Frenchman, Campbell has been on-loan with six different clubs in the last seven seasons in a frustrating period for the forward.

The forward endured another tough season last term with Real Betis, where he made only eight league starts due to injury problems, and his spell in Spain further threw into question his future at The Emirates.

Campbell however remains unworried, and insists his focus remains solely on the World Cup, where is currently playing for Costa Rica.

“The World Cup won’t change my life, I don’t come here to show myself,” Campbell said in Samara.

“I came to help my national team, everyone writes his own history and we have to look after group.

“I know about my contract and I know who I am. God has a plan for me”

Costa Rica lost 1-0 to Serbia in their Group E opener last week, and next take on Brazil on Friday afternoon.
