Joachim Loew Points Out Ozil’s Biggest Weakness

Ozil has had a fluctuating first season with Arsenal. He started off strong but got lost in the middle of the season before coming back into form recently. Premier League football was a bit too much for him at times according to Germany’s manager, Joachim Loew. The Gunners’ most expensive transfer of all time reached an all-time low during the winter when his performances started to lose efficiency.

The 25 year old lacks the strength to show those around him he is a player on whom they can count no matter the situation. Wenger noticed that Ozil has problems dealing with failure. After a few poor games, the German international was clearly lacking focus and presence.

The 25 year-old also had to deal with medical problems which prevented him from showing fans he is worth the money. He managed to adapt but not well enough according to ESPNFC. Fortunately for both Arsenal and Ozil, there is still time for things to change. Loew and Wenger have constantly encouraged their player even after moments like the Bayern episode which looked like a career low for the attacking midfielder.

Loew looks confident Ozil will learn from his first season in the UK which can be hard on any player regardless of how talented he is. The German international was never used to the pace and toughness of the Premier League but will become better with time according to Germany’s manager. Hopefully, Loew is right considering how much Arsenal need a player of his skill and vision.
