Some may see Arsenal being knocked out by Brighton in the Carabao Cup as a blessing in disguise, as it will allow the squad to focus their efforts on the Premier League after Christmas.

However, it does, once again, raise questions about the depth of the Gunners’ squad. One or two injuries and manager Mikel Arteta will be relying on players who are simply not up to a title challenge.


As things stand, though, the team is in very good shape heading into the last Premier League game before the World Cup. An away fixture against Wolves is usually pretty tricky but the Midlands club have only recently appointed new manager Julen Lopetegui.
