‘He Is Going To Let You Down’ Controversial Pundit Gives Shocking Condemnation Of Newly-Signed Arsenal Star

Pundit and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara had some scathing things to say regarding Arsenal player Kai Havertz on TalkSPORT’s Saturday talk show.

While O’Hara acknowledged that Havertz is a ‘very good player’, he believes that he lacks the consistency that is required in a team that plans to challenge for the Premier League title.

He says that Havertz ‘has his moments’, but does not think that he will be able to turn in good performances on a regular basis this season.

What did Jamie O’Hara say on TalkSPORT regarding Kai Havertz?

On TalkSPORT, O’Hara said: “I think the problem you are going to have with Havertz is consistency. You need to challenge for the title, the money you have spent and where you are going, you have got to keep progressing.”

He continued: “And the signing of Havertz, yeah, he can be a very good player, yeah, he can have his moments, but I think over the course of the season, I think he is going to let you down.”

Will Kai Havertz be a good player for Arsenal in the long run?

Granted, in both the Community Shield game against Manchester City and Arsenal’s opening day game against Nottingham Forest, Havertz’s impact was minimal.

However, to judge a player on two games – especially one of Havertz’s natural ability – would not only be harsh, it would also be foolish.

Arteta has not signed Havertz purely on a whim – especially when his price tag of £65 million is taken into consideration. The Spaniard will have a plan in mind for Havertz, even if we have not seen it come to fruition as of yet.

Havertz had a rough season at Chelsea last season, as the Blues finished 12th in the Premier League table. Additionally, he was predominantly used as a striker – this is in stark contrast to how he fits into the Arsenal team, as Arteta seems to be keen on the idea of playing him in midfield.

It will take time for the German international to gel with the rest of the Arsenal squad. Not only has he moved to a new club, he has also shifted to a new position – Gunners fans will have to remain patient before we see the best of Kai Havertz.
