Inter Bow Out Of Vucinic Pursuit Leaving It To Arsenal

Juventus striker, Mirko Vucinic was being reportedly courted by Arsenal, as Arsene Wenger continues his search for a back-up striker following injury to Nicklas Bendtner. As a result, his hunt has led him to Vucinic and he feels that a temporary transfer to North London until the summer would be an ideal scenario.

However, the Gunners found themselves playing catch up against Inter Milan, who were themselves plotting a move for the 30-year old. They were looking to involve midfielder Fredy Guarin in the deal to sweeten the pot, though it has now been reported that Inter have decided to drop their chase, after reportedly failing to reach an agreement with Juventus during their negotiations. An official statement emanating from Inter stated, ‘Internazionale would like to announce that we have decided not to proceed in negotiations with Juventus for the transfer between Fredy Guarin and Mirko Vucinic.’

With Inter out of the picture, Metro report that this leaves Arsenal with a clear path to sign Vucinic, who is not having enough playing time for his liking. Juventus are reportedly open to listening to all offers for him, and Arsenal are hopeful that an offer for a loan deal until the end of the season would be accepted by the runaway Serie A leaders.

Do you see Wenger pushing ahead with the offer and signing his Mirko Vucinic before the transfer window slams shut on 31st January?
