Arsenal and Everton have entered talks with Juventus over signing midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to reports in the French media.

It is believed that the Gunners are eyeing an all French midfield partnership of Rabiot and Matteo Guendouzi but fans on Twitter are not particularly enthusiastic about the prospect:

Rabiot has been a longstanding target for Arsenal, even before he moved to Juve last summer but, it must be said, he has not looked convincing since moving to Italy.

The 25-year-old initially struggled for game time under Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri but he has been used more regularly in recent months.

This campaign, Rabiot has made 24 appearances, but he has yet to register a goal or assist in any competition for the Italian club.

Many would seemingly prefer the Gunners to invest the money they have in Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey, who would offer a more physical and dynamic presence in the middle of the park.
