Ian Wright Makes His Prediction For Who Will Win The Europa League Final Tonight

Gunners legend Ian Wright is backing his former side to come out on top against Chelsea in the Europa League final.

The TV pundit believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette could make the difference in a tight contest this evening:

“I thought Arsenal dealt with them ruthlessly and I think that Chelsea have the kind of defence that if you can get at them you can cause problems. Especially Lacazette and Aubameyang. But at the same time, Arsenal’s defence has been a weakness this season…”

“And when you look at him [Hazard] in what could be his last game for Chelsea he’s going to want to go out in a blaze of glory and win something so you have to say there is an argument for both teams.”

“Obviously I want Arsenal to win and I think Arsenal might just nick it simply because of the two guys up front.”

If N’Golo Kante is missing for Chelsea, it will certainly give confidence to Arsenal that they can control the midfield and provide good service to the front two.

Even if the Blues have the majority of possession, the Gunners will be confident of causing their opponents major problems on the counter-attack.

As Wright mentions, both defences are not particularly secure and there could be a lot of chances at either end.

Arsenal will certainly want to take inspiration from the 2-0 win at the Emirates back in January when they pressed high and put Chelsea under pressure.

However, each game is different and major finals are unique occasions when the form book can be thrown out of the window.
