Ian Wright Lists The THREE Players Who Must “Stay Fit” If Arsenal Are To Win The Title

Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Bukayo Saka, Thomas Partey and captain Martin Odegaard must “stay fit” if the Gunners are to lift the Premier League title this season.

The former striker-turned-pundit claims the trio are key players in Mikel Arteta’s team and their continued presence gives them a good chance of maintaining their position at the top of the table:

“Saka’s done it [this season], Partey, Odegaard. Those are the ones, if Partey, Odegaard and Saka stay fit, which is going to be very tough, then I think Arsenal have a very good chance of winning the league.”

You won’t get many Arsenal supporters arguing with Wright on this point. Saka has been extremely influential across the last few months, while Odegaard‘s creativity has also been important.

However, Partey’s contribution is arguably the most crucial. His ability to cover the ground and provide good protection for the backline makes him a key cog in the team. Without him, the Gunners do struggle a lot.

Luckily, so far this season, the Ghanaian international has managed to stay free of injury, for the most part, and it will be hoped he can maintain his fitness for the remaining fixtures.
