TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent believes Arsenal should consider making a loan offer for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City player only made the £47.5m switch to Stamford Bridge in the summer but there is already speculation that he could be deemed surplus to requirements after the arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk.

Sterling was actually linked with Arsenal before he joined the Blues and Bent says the Gunners should consider making another approach for the England international:

“I would take him on loan. I would take him on loan. 100%.”

It would be a stunning turn of events if Mikel Arteta’s side managed to secure the signature of Sterling, especially after what happened with Mudryk.

You can’t imagine relations between the two London clubs are great, and combined with the fact that Sterling only moved teams six months ago, it seems like a rather implausible scenario. Modern football is a crazy business, though, so it’s wise not to rule anything out.
