“I Will Only Leave If It Is The Right Team” Belgian Ace Drops Big Transfer Hint Following Reports Of Arsenal Enquiry

Brighton winger Leandro Trossard has indicated that he would be interested in leaving the Amex for the “right team”.

VoetbalKrant.com are reporting that Arsenal have “already inquired” about the Belgian international’s availability, while there is also speculation that Graham Potter wants to be reunited with his former player at Chelsea. When asked about the transfer speculation, Trossard replied:

“I feel good at Brighton. We are currently in fourth place for a reason. But you always work towards a transfer or a step higher. Although I will only leave if it is the right team.”

A move for Trossard would probably make sense for the Gunners. At 27 years of age, he is about to hit his prime, and his ability to play in multiple positions would make him a good option for manager Mikel Arteta to have.

Arsenal are believed to be keen on replacing Nicolas Pepe, and while Trossard would offer good competition for the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, he could also be deployed as a striker and as a wingback.

Of course, if Chelsea do also enter the battle, it could complicate matters. Trossard may be keen to work with Potter again, although he may find it harder to get game time at Stamford Bridge.
