‘I Don’t Want Arsenal Move!’ – Lloris

The speculative media went into overdrive after his French national team-mate and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud was quoted as saying that Lloris would consider swapping White Hart Lane for the Emirates next season, if Tottenham’s unpredictable form continues and they fail to make it to the top 4.

Spurs went on a spending spree in the summer when they spent in excess of £100 million, however that has not helped them climb the table. It was being reported that playing in the UEFA Champions League is Lloris’ top priority; and Spurs’ failure to provide him with the same could force him to reconsider his future.

However, the former Lyon shot stopper has put an end to these rumors, by stating that an Arsenal move is the last thing on his mind now, as reported by Metro. He said, “Yes I heard about that,”

“I think maybe some words were twisted, but it is embarrassing. I don’t think that. I’m very focused on Spurs’ ambition and I am very pleased to play for Spurs.”

Lloris has immediately cleared the air on this story and he has avoided getting on the wrong side of the Tottenham faithful, unlike the way Sol Campbell did back in 2001 after he acrimoniously left Tottenham for Arsenal.
