Hull City Keen On Signing Djourou

Hull City Keen On Signing Djourou

Arsenal’s Swiss defender, Johan Djourou who is currently on loan with Hamburger SV may get his chance to perform in the Premier League on a regular basis after managing just short of 100 appearances in the last 10 years. The Swiss international who could never secure his spot in Wenger’s first team could sign a long term deal with Hull who look interested in securing the 27 year olds’ signature.

The Gunner has been playing in the Bundesliga where he quickly became a team regular for both Hanover and Hamburg. Even so a definite transfer to Hull may be tempting enough for him to return to the UK.

According to The Mirror Arsenal will receive a £2.6million offer for Djourou as Hull’s boss, Steve Bruce seems to have made the Gunner one of his primary targets for the summer transfer window.

Wenger is more than likely to let the 27 year old leave considering his contract will expire in just over a year. The Frenchman has made it clear he is no longer interested in collaborating with Djourou who started his senior career with Arsenal but failed to become a team regular. His last game for the Gunners was 17 months ago and might well end up as his last performance for the Emirates side.
