Huddersfield Town V Arsenal – Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Arsenal will be heavy favourites to beat Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Jan Siewert’s side were thrashed 5-0 away at Chelsea last week and have collected just one point since they last met the Gunners back in early December.

However, the London club will want to improve on their performance against Manchester City last time out. The 3-1 scoreline didn’t reflect the vast difference between the two teams, and manager Unai Emery has a lot of work to do to keep his side in the race for the top four.

He will have Henrikh Mkhitaryan back fit to face the Terriers. The midfielder has spent the last six weeks out of action with a broken metatarsal which he picked up in the Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham.

The only other player who has a chance of returning against Huddersfield is Ainsley Maitland-Niles. His knee injury is being assessed by the club’s medical staff ahead of tomorrow.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos has been pictured back on the training pitch but he is only expected to return to full fitness at the end of this month. Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding (both knee) and Danny Welbeck (ankle) are all out of contention.

Huddersfield have three slight doubts for the game. Chris Lowe is suffering from illness, Jonathan Hogg has a back problem while Erik Durm is struggling with a foot injury.

Isaac Mbenza (calf), Danny Williams (knee) and Abdelhamid Sabiri (broken collarbone) all remain on the treatment table.

The bookies are backing Arsenal to win against the Terriers.  The Gunners are 5/8 to win at Unibet with a draw 33/10 at the same bookmaker.  A Huddersfield victory is 5/1 at BetVictor.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Huddersfield:

Leno, Lichtsteiner, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Guendouzi, Torreira, Xhaka, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette,

Huddersfield’s Predicted XI:

Lossl, Hadergjonaj, Jorgensen, Schindler, Kongolo, Bacuna, Billing, Mooy, Diakhaby, Mounie, Kachunga

Predicted Score – Arsenal to win 3-0
