Rather than going with assists as a metric, we have decided to use expected assists (xA) here as this gives a fairer comparison between the three players. An assist can be anything from an excellent cross to a pass before a teammate scores a 30-yard howitzer, but xA won’t value those two examples as the same, so who comes out on top here?
