The 25-year-old didn’t really deserve to be dropped against Sheffield United but the switch in system inevitably meant someone had to give way.
If Arteta does decide to return to the tried and tested back three, Holding would be the favourite to be recalled tomorrow. He has shown fantastic determination to recover the level he showed before his knee injury.
