Holding And Cedric To Start, Tavares Dropped: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Leeds

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will want his players to keep up the momentum ahead of the North London derby next week when they take on Leeds on Sunday.

In terms of the starting lineup, Aaron Ramsdale will keep his place in goal, but there could be a change in the fullback areas, with Cedric coming into the side to replace the erratic Nuno Tavares. Takehiro Tomiyasu should be fit enough to start at right-back despite an injury scare versus West Ham.

Ben White is touch and go with a hamstring problem, but there is no need to risk him after Rob Holing performed well at the London Stadium. The 26-year-old could partner Gabriel in the centre of defence for the second successive match.

Arteta is likely to stay with the same personnel in midfield until Thomas Partey returns. That means Mohamed Elneny will continue to deputise alongside Granit Xhaka, with Martin Odegaard in the no.10 role.

Gabriel Martinelli may just get the nod to keep his place ahead of Emile Smith Rowe on the left-wing, with Bukayo Saka on the right flank and Eddie Nketiah through the middle.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Play Leeds:

Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Cedric, Elneny, Odegaard, Xhaka, Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli
