Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has made the final shortlist for this year’s European Golden Boy award. The 20-year-old is one of 20 young players who could potentially win the prize.
There are four players from the Premier League in total. Chelsea’s Mason Mount makes the cut, along with Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Everton’s Moise Kean.
Supporters on Twitter are delighted by Guendouzi’s inclusion and they believe he is fully deserving of the nomination:

Guendouzi has certainly developed his game beyond many had been hoping during his first twelve months at the Gunners. He made 48 appearances and 33 starts during his first season following his £7m from Lorient.
The France Under 21 international has become a key first-team player, having started all eight of Arsenal’s league games this campaign. He was recently voted the club’s player of the month for September after some excellent displays, including in the North London derby against Spurs.
