“Here, There And Everywhere…” Alan Shearer Hails Arsenal Star Who Is Pulling The Strings For Arteta’s Team

BBC pundit Alan Shearer has singled out Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko for praise after his performance in the 3-2 win over Manchester United.

The Ukrainian has been superb this season, with the Gunners deploying him in an inverted fullback position, and Shearer says he popped up all over the pitch at the weekend:

“Nominally a left-back, in reality he was here, there and everywhere. Pulled the strings for Arsenal in this five-goal thriller.”

Shearer named Zinchenko in his official Premier League Team of the Week, along with Gunners teammates Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah, who both got on the scoresheet against United.

In terms of the rest of the eleven that Shearer picked, he went with Newcastle’s Nick Pope in goal, with Crystal Palace’s Chris Richards, Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva and West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd joining Zinchenko in a back four.

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma and West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen were selected alongside Saka in midfield. Up front, City’s Erling Haaland was unsurprisingly chosen with Nketiah, following his hat-trick versus Wolves.
