Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka suffered a hamstring injury during England’s Nations League loss against Greece on Thursday evening.
The 23-year-old had to be substituted off by manager Lee Carsley as he was seen with discomfort in his leg. Chelsea attacker Noni Madueke was his replacement.
It is unclear as to how serious Saka’s injury is, but he will now be assessed after having a scan to see if he’ll need to take extended time off which could be damaging for the Gunners.
Arsenal fans took to X to react to the news:
He needs rest. He goes non stop for club and country.

Hopefully, the injury isn’t serious, and he’ll be back soon.

That’s all we need. Should have said he was injured on call up

Saka plays too many games for arsenal already. How Arteta has never considered an option to him is what I don’t understand. The gaffer caused this 100%

Honestly, arteta needs to tell the players they aren’t going for pointless games now

At this point, I feel fifa should be held accountable for the damage they cause these boys. It’s not just Saka but all football players…
This international break is doing more harm than good

Bukayo Saka has been a talisman for Arsenal this season
The injury could prove damaging for the Gunners as Saka has been one of if not their best player so far this season. Last time out, the winger scored and assisted twice in the Gunners’ 3-1 win over Southampton.
That took his tally for the season up to two goals and seven assists in the Premier League with a further goal in the Champions League during a 2-0 win over PSG.
Arsenal look more than capable of winning the league title this season, but without Saka, that could be a different story, Mikel Arteta will be desperate not to lose him for a long period.
