Nice manager Patrick Vieira has been made favourite to take over at Arsenal after impressing the club’s hierarchy, according to Nice-Matin (paywall).
The French newspaper claims that the Invincible is now being considered as a serious contender for the Gunners job. However, supporters on Twitter don’t believe the 43-year-old has enough experience to take on the role:
Hell No! Legend, but he is not what we need.

Vieira has already spoken out about being linked with the position at Arsenal last week but refused to be drawn on whether he would be interested in taking over at the Emirates.
The Frenchman has now moved up to fifth favourite among most bookmakers, behind current interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg, ex Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri, Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta and Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers.
Vieira’s Nice side are currently 14th in Ligue One after being hammered 4-1 by Saint-Etienne last night. They finished 7th last season in the Arsenal legend’s first campaign in charge.
