Arsenal supporters are keen for Leandro Trossard to start the potential title decider against Manchester City.
The Belgian has been benched for the Gunners’ last three fixtures. He has, though, looked impressive when coming on as a substitute and many fans on Twitter have called on manager Mikel Arteta to recall the player to the first eleven:
He has to.

Yes, he always makes a difference. He needs to start.

Has to! Makes a massive difference when he’s on the pitch, so positive and direct.

Trossard is the spark in this team now. Arsenal haven’t been the same since he was dropped from the Liverpool starting line up till now.

Shouldn’t be a question.
We need a progressive player playing next to Partey.— 𝗢𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲_The Inner You (@Cashmanjnr) April 23, 2023
Yes, while Jesus is good in dribbling in narrow spaces like him. Trossard is much better in assisting and that would cause extra threat

If Xhaka is not available, I’ll start him in midfield.

Should definitely start

The big question is, if Trossard is brought back into the team, who misses out? Gabriel Jesus would be the likeliest candidate but he is still performing well, despite missing some chances against Southampton last week.
As some have suggested, the 28-year-old could be considered as an option in midfield if Granit Xhaka is still fit, but that would be a very bold tactical ploy by Arteta, especially at the Etihad.
Some teams, including Liverpool, have had success against City playing 4-2-4, but you would fear for Arsenal defensively if they went with that approach. We shall see if Trossard gets his chance on Wednesday night.
