Tierney picked up the injury in the 3-1 win over West Ham last month, but his return date was set for March. Whether this latest update suggests he will be back earlier than predicted, we shall have to wait and see.
The fullback arrived from Celtic for £25m in the summer but has been unfortunate with injuries since joining the Gunners. He made a slow recovery from a hernia operation and only made his debut in late September.
Tierney then suffered his latest injury setback after making just 11 appearances for the London club, and supporters will be hoping he can stay fit for an extended period when he returns to full fitness.
