Roma will pay €3m (£2.7m) for loaning Arsenal attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to Sky Sports. The Armenian international has joined the Italian side for the rest of the season.
There is no option to buy in the loan deal, but it is believed that the Gunners will look to offload the 30-year-old permanently next summer, with Arsenal hoping he impresses during his time in Italy.
Fans on Twitter are delighted that the club will receive a fee for Mkhitaryan and that the club won’t have to pay his wages:
Good money!

Many supporters have also again been crediting the work done by Raul Sanllehi, the club’s Head of Football Operations, who has masterminded the club’s summer transfer business:
At this point I’m ready to make Raul the coach. Convinced he can do anything.

Mkhitaryan has not lived up to expectations since arriving from Manchester United in a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez back in January 2018. The playmaker scored nine goals and provided 13 assists in 59 appearances for the Gunners.
