It was a great night for Gooners who finally got the chance to celebrate on Saturday night. Arsenal won the FA cup in the most dramatic way possible. They recovered from a 2 goal disadvantage and went on to finish strong with a winner during extra time. Giroud was a key player for the Gunners and despite not managing to score, he still contributed to the outcome of the game. In his post-match statements, the Frenchman who was visibly overwhelmed by the incredible atmosphere around him, insisted the club can continue wining competitions for many seasons to come. He also expressed his appreciation for the fans who never stopped cheering despite the fact that Arsenal conceded 2 goals in the first 10 minutes.

Arsenal’s striker who had a bit of a let down after Christmas but returned to better form for the last couple of months of the season pointed out that it takes character to win a final in such a manner. Coming back from 2-0 to win in extra time is something you don’t see every day. It was one of the most exciting confrontations of the season and it really felt like both teams wanted to win at any cost like a true cup final. The Gunners were desperate to end their almost decade long trophy drought and Hull were searching for their first ever cup in their 100 year history which made for an excellent match.
