Giroud Issues Guilty Social Apology Over Romp With Model Celia Kay

Unfortunately for Arsenal, things are not going very well when it comes to the offensive part of the team. After failing to sign a new striker and after Walcott’s harsh injury, it seems that Wenger will now have to handle Giroud who may quickly fall out of form because of his personal life. The Frenchman admitted to spending the night with another woman than his wife right before the Crystal Palace game on February 2nd. His tweet was a public apology directed to his wife, family, friends and fans who are surely disappointed with his recent behavior.

Despite denying spending time with American model, Celia Kay all throughout the past two weeks, Giroud was caught red handed after some compromising pictures made it to the newspapers. All of the Frenchman’s close ones and Arsenal fans got to see the Gunner parading in his underwear while posing wth the former FHM cover girl who needless to say seemingly could not care less about the striker’s privacy.

What is even worse is that Giroud denied all accusations and tricked not only his wife but also his club into believing nothing happened. Arsenal were prepared to fine him £230,000 for missing the curfew but backed off after talking to the Frenchman but now his guilt has been established Wenger has said he will face disiplinary action but it will remain an internal manner.

According to the Daily Mail, Giroud is very lucky the Gunners have a lot of important games ahead which means he will not be benched for his actions. He will be fined but nothing more not because of the club’s leniency but becauof their lack of fire power. Hopefully the striker will be able to set his personal problems aside and use this unsavoury episode to motivate himself to return to his early season form and bang in the goals to lead the Gunners to the Premier League.
