An image purported to be Arsenal‘s new home kit for the 2020/21 season has leaked out online and it has caused a lot of debate on Twitter.
There are a number of changes to the shirt design, with the v-neck being changed to a round collar, the Adidas stripes being removed from the shoulders, while there are now arrow patterns in the background.
Supporters had a very mixed response to the new home jersey:
Get it on sale ASAP ?

Would like if the stripes were in the shoulders still but overall clean

A good blend of future and nostalgia.

Not bad. Echoes of 1990-1991 shirt

Some fans were also annoyed that sponsors Emirates are planning to change their logo and tag line:
Fly
Emirates

Emirates
fly better— Tiramisu (@xoticRay) May 11, 2020
I totally agree, it looks cheap, they should just stick to Emirates no need for fly better, cheapens the brand

Whether this image turns out to be accurate, we shall have to wait and see, but the information about the new kit is certainly very convincing and detailed.
No matter the design, though, Gunners supporters will be hoping the 2020/21 campaign will provide them with improved performances on the pitch, after what has been a tumultuous season under three different managers.
