Germany Rest Ozil, Lahm and Neuer For England Match

Wenger will surely be happy with Joachim Low’s decision not to use Ozil during the friendly match against England which will take place on Tuesday. The 25 year old German international got to play half an hour against Italy but will not feature against Roy Hodgson’s side.

Arsenal have become quite addicted to their summer transfer who quickly became an imtegral part of the team. His performances were helpful and precise right from the start, making the German indispensable for the Gunners.

Wenger’s side is known for having to deal with a high percentage of injured players mostly because of their not so comprehensive squad. After failing to bring in several serious targets during the summer transfer period, Wenger’s side is eagerly awaiting the first month of 2014 to finally sign some of the footballers they need in order to perform at the highest level possible in both the Premier League and the Champions League. Until then they will have to be careful not to meddle with an almost perfect line-up that managed to make their way to the top of the Premier League and maintain a steady and efficient pace. Even so, when important players like Ozil were unavailable, the Gunners had a hard time facing strong teams such as Dortmund, Manchester United or Chelsea.

The 25 year old midfielder will not perform against England in order to help Low analyze the game of new players who have not convinced the German manager they are prepared to represent their country during the World Cup in Brazil. According to Metro, Ozil, Lahm and Neuer are the three players that represent the core of Germany’s national team and hence are all being rested, which may help England avoid two losses in a row for a very long time.

Arsenal managed to sign Ozil in what was one of the most surprising moves of the summer. The German became the most expensive player ever transferred by the Gunners who haven’t won a trophy in a really long time. Hopefully a player of Ozil’s value will end that drought. Chances are, he will continue to improve his game with every match for Arsenal, as he becomes more and more comfortable and builds towards next summer’s World Cup.
