Germany Coach Questions Real’s Decision To Sell Ozil

Arsenal completed their record transfer deal after they signed Ozil from Real Madrid on Transfer Deadline Day for a whopping £42.4 million. The move surprised everyone, as manager Arsene Wenger finally managed to splash the cash and spend a huge chunk of his £70 million transfer kitty.

The move also had other repercussions as it created massive waves at the Santiago Bernabeu. This move did not go down well with many people related to Real Madrid. The fans were not happy at this decision and made their frustration known as they booed club president Florentino Perez’s decision during Gareth Bale’s presentation on Monday.

Even Real Madrid players have revealed that the decision to sell their No. 10 left them angry, sad and befuddled. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sami Khedira have already given their negative take on this move. Joining the list is now Ozil’s German national team coach Low. He too believes that it makes absolutely no sense for Real Madrid to let go of their influential midfielder.

Metro report him as saying, “Many Real players like Sami or Cristiano Ronaldo are sad about the transfer,”

“For me, it’s incomprehensible Real would sell one of their top scorers.”

Low continued by stating that the move would do heaps of good for Ozil personally as he further said, “Mesut is a sensitive player and needs the faith from the club and coach,”

“It seems that was no longer 100 per cent there at Real whereas Arsenal and Arsene Wenger pulled out all the stops to get him.”

Arsenal have really managed to secure a superstar in their latest recruit. They have puled off the second biggest transfer in the history of the British transfer market, and the fans will be praying that he will slot into the team at the earliest opportunity and help them compete at the highest level now.

With Real Madrid looking like the ones to be affected the most, how do you see them coping with this loss? Will summer signing Isco be an able replacement, and will Luka Modric manage to supplement him well to offset the major loss of Ozil?
