Gary Neville Makes Big Top Four Claim After Seeing Arsenal And United In Action Yesterday

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville still believes that his former team Manchester United will pip Arsenal to finish in the top four this season.

Despite the Red Devils losing heavily to rivals Manchester City yesterday evening, Neville feels they will still have enough to beat the Gunners in the battle for Champions League qualification:

“I think United will still do it (finish in the top four). I don’t trust Arsenal fully, I think it would be brilliant for Mikel Arteta and that group of players if they did, it would be fantastic, but they’ve still got some big games to play and there’s a long way to go.”

Neville’s warning that Arsenal have some big matches coming up is undoubtedly true. Their games in hand are against the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea.

However, United haven’t exactly got an easy fixture list either. Ralf Rangnick’s side have to face Spurs, Leicester and the Gunners before the end of April.

That game between the two teams at the Emirates next month could be important but, considering United’s rather poor form, they may well be playing catch up by the time that fixture comes around.

For Arsenal, the focus simply has to be on winning one match at a time. They got the result they needed against Watford yesterday and the next challenge will be to secure a win over Leicester on Sunday.
