Hopefully, the international break will prove a sufficient amount of time for Partey to recover his fitness. The midfielder has been superb since his £45m move from Atletico Madrid last month and manager Mikel Arteta will want to have him back as soon as possible, considering how poorly they played against Villa.
As well as conceding three goals at home, they barely tested returning goalkeeper Emi Martinez during the 90 minutes, and the lack of creativity is a major worry.
Partey provides the steel in midfield which should help with both winning possession and setting up attacks so Arteta will be keeping his fingers crossed that he makes a swift return to action.
