Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to score the winning goal against Bayern Munich in a friendly last night.
The 20-year-old only played the last eight minutes of the match, but he slotted the ball home two minutes from time to make it 2-1 following a cross from another youngster Tyreece John-Jules.
Nketiah got the man of the match after his cameo display and supporters on Twitter are excited by the young player’s performance:

After the match, manager Unai Emery was asked about the likes of Nketiah and John-Jules, and whether they’ll be given more first-team chances with the Gunners. The Spaniard replied they will get game time if they show that they are good enough:
“Our responsibility in this club – for the history, present and future – is to give young players a chance. If they deserve minutes, they’ll get minutes. I’m very happy with them.”
Academy products Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka also finished the game against Bayern as part of a youthful frontline, and many fans will be hoping to see a lot more of the four of them over the coming weeks and months.
