Arsenal dropped two points as they drew against Fulham at Craven Cottage and now sit third in the Premier League.Β
The Gunners went behind after Raul Jimenez scored in the 11th minute to make it 1-0 to Fulham before William Saliba scored from a corner. Arsenal couldn’t find a winner and they drew 1-1 after 90 minutes.
It meant that they slipped down to third after Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 on Sunday afternoon to leapfrog the Gunners in the league table.
Mikel Arteta’s side had 12 shots and 67% of the ball, he will be disappointed that they couldn’t get a second goal to secure the points on Saturday.
Gunners fans took to X to react as their club dropped points for the seventh time this season remaining six points and a game in hand behind to Liverpool.
Poor team selection for a very strong opponent. Why do we play players out of positions and yet we have subs for those positions? If they are not good enough sell them. These experiments have been very costly to us. Sad. π’

Arsenal fans calling for Gunners to sign a striker
A lot of Arsenal fans on X were calling for the team to add a striker in the January transfer window. They have been linked to several names this season.
Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP has been linked with a move to the Emirates whilst Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has also been heavily linked.
However, both of these choices will likely be of a hefty cost to the Gunners so they could instead opt for a cheaper option with the likes of Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui emerging as a possible target.
