Frimpong Joins Barnsley, Sees Red On Debut!

According to the Daily Mail, midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong was sold to Championship outfit Barnsley on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee. It seems Wenger made a wise choice in selling the 22-year-old as Frimpong was more concerned about how he will score off the pitch, and fluffed his lines when he got a chance on the pitch by receiving two yellow cards within the first half hour in the Yorkshire derby vs Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

After his move was confirmed, Frimpong was unsure how he would get lucky with the females after tweeting ‘how am I gonna draw girls now’. The injury-prone midfielder must have had his mind on the girls as he enjoyed a debut to forget after picking up a red card in a game which Barnsley ultimately lost 1-0.

The Ghana international has enjoyed loan spells at Fulham, Wolves and Charton but was never able to force his way into the first team set-up at Arsenal. Wenger sold Frimpong on transfer deadline day but compensated for his loss by bringing in Kim Kallstrom on loan from Spartak Moscow until the end of the season.
