Considering Arsenal were coming into the game off the back of an energy-sapping win over Benfica on Thursday night, manager Mikel Arteta would have been delighted by how they responded when they went 1-0 down against Leicester yesterday.

Of course, the Foxes had themselves crashed out of Europe midweek and are going through an injury crisis, but that shouldn’t detract from the fact that the Gunners were convincing winners against a team who sit third in the table.

Arteta also rotated a number of players for the game and, while not all of them took their chance, it was still a pretty impressive all-round performance, which should hold them in good stead going forward.
