Flamini Optimistic About Arsenal’s Chances For This Season

Mathieu Flamini who has just returned to the Emirates, is one of the biggest surprises of the season. The Frenchman who was seen as one of Wenger’s low-cost improvisations, has turned out to be one of the most reliable players at the beginning of the season. Wenger saw something in his former player and gave him the chance to prove himself. The 29 year old has been away for 4 years in which he played 96 games for AC Milan. He played for Arsenal for 4 years before moving to Italy. During that period he managed some great games but he never stood out. He was mediocre at best but he always looked committed to help the Gunners every way he could.

It is possible that his declarations towards the club is what brought him back. When Flamini left he told fans that Arsenal will always be in his heart. Such love for the club and such determination is what have been making him a team regular since his return to the Emirates.

The Gunners are now on a 10 game winning streak and Flamini is one of the players that are responsible for this amazing series. According to Metro, the Frenchman has looked better than ever on the pitch, contributing to each and every win.

Flamini said that team spirit is what helps Arsenal deliver such great performances. The entire group is focused and shows a great fighting spirit. Even if the Frenchman believes in his team he admits that ending the 8 year trophy-less streak would be a surprise for most people out there.

The Gunners have a great chance of doing that, considering the fact that they have shown excellent form. Hopefully, injuries will not ruin what looks like Arsenal’s year. Wenger has managed two great moves during the summer by transferring Ozil and Flamini. Even so the team still needs one or two new players that could really take the Gunner’s game up a level. It would be great to bring in someone that could adapt as easily as those two have and have a similar positive impact on the team.
