Pepe Feels Arteta’s Ire
Nicolas Pepe’s stupid headbutt on Ezgjan Alioski would have disappointed Arteta for a number of reasons. He had given the Ivorian the chance to start in the league for only the second time this season and his sending off will likely mean that the winger won’t be given another opportunity any time soon.
Arteta was clearly furious about the sending off incident, repeatedly saying “unacceptable” when interviewed for TV, suggesting he had some very choice words for Pepe in the changing room.
