Sure, he made a silly mistake against Manchester City, gifting the ball the Kevin De Bruyne. These things happen – especially when you’re rusty. Moreoever, one mistake should not define a player’s entire season.
When playing at the peak of his abilities, Tomiyasu is excellent. Solid defensively and with rapidly improving attacking ability, Tomiyasu will likely become one of the best right-backs in the world very soon.
