Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno will likely not feature in tonight’s game against Rennes with Petr Cech due to replace him in goal.
However, the German has certainly upped his game in recent weeks with his stunning save against Tottenham last weekend deservedly receiving plaudits.
Supporters were asked by Arsenal’s official Twitter account whether Leno’s stop was the best of the season, and many were quick to praise the keeper’s recent performances:
Fantastic signing, same goes for Torreira and Guendouzi ?
They are present and future ❤️

The £22.5m summer signing from Bayer Leverkusen certainly had to bide his time to get into the first team. Cech’s hamstring injury allowed the German to establish himself as the undisputed number one in September.
Since then, Leno has made some mistakes but he has become more consistent recently. Although it is too early to say whether he is the answer between the sticks for the long term, he is building a strong case.
At 27 years of age, the German also has room to improve over the next few years.
