Fabrizio Romano Reveals Chelsea Are “Tracking” 68M Rated La Liga Ace Who Has Been Heavily Linked With Arsenal

Chelsea have joined the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in “tracking” Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners have been tipped to make an official offer for the Spanish international and, while Romano does claim Chelsea could also get involved, he feels they are more focused on recruiting Everton’s Antony Gordon:

“Many questions on Yeremy Pino. We have many rumours, it’s one of many players followed by Arsenal, but also by other clubs, for example, I am told that Chelsea have been tracking Yeremy Pino and now they are on Gordon.”

From Romano’s remarks, it doesn’t look like any team is currently pushing ahead with a formal bid for Pino. The Italian journalist has previously mentioned that Villarreal would demand a sizeable fee if they were to sell the teenager and that may have stopped potential suitors from entering negotiations.

Pino’s release clause is reportedly €80m (£68m) and, while it is not thought that Arsenal would need to pay that much, he would still cost a substantial amount of money. We shall see if Mikel Arteta’s side do make an approach before the transfer window shuts.
